First Date: A guide to what to Wear
There are a lot of things that make first dates difficult, one of them is deciding what to wear. Personally, I am usually worried about passing the wrong message through my dressing or wearing something inappropriate for the venue of the date.
My solution to the latter is my date the venue for the meet up in order to dress appropriately, I would not like to appear in a classy restaurant wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top. Location usually acts as a guide when thinking of what to wear.
Comfort is also particularly important when considering what to wear on a first date. You would not want to be fidgeting throughout the date so,wear outfits that flatter your body and are comfortable.
Here are some awesome outfit ideas that will ensure you look amazing so you can relax and have fun:
- A Dinner Dress

Nothing too fancy, it is a dinner date not an award ceremony (LOL) A simple dinner dress, short or long will be perfect. The first date might not be the time to wear very revealing clothes that might suggest that you are eager to take the date further than just a date. However, if that is the message you want to pass then it is ok to wear tight and revealing clothes
2. JEANS AND TOP

This outfit is always perfect for casual dates such as drinks at a bar, a walk or picnic at the park or any other outdoor meetup. A pair of comfortable jeans and a pretty blouse paired with ballet flats/ dolly shoes or sandals can be a perfect match to the outfit. It’s simple and chic.
3. SHORTS AND A TOP

This outfit is also great for casual dates such as getting ice cream together or exploring tourist locations together. This outfit says Í am here to have fun.
A classy blouse combined with a pair of shorts and some cute sandals or flats.
4, TOP AND TROUSERS

This outfit is usually favoured by busy executives with little time to change their outfit after work. The trick is to wear a tank top or a simple sleeveless blouse under a blazer or jacket that you paired with a trouser. After work, just remove the blazer and wear the top with your trouser. Throw on some evening accessories like dangling earrings and bangles and you are ready to go.
You can also wear a top and pallazo pants that can easily transition from day to night.
5.ROMPER OR JUMPSUIT

The beauty of this outfit is that you don’t have to stand for hours in front of your wardrobe worrying about what to wear Just grab your shoes and handbag and you are good to go.
6. A simple Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are forever on trend and there is always an element of boho chic attached to them. Strap on a pair of flat sandals or a pair of wedge sandals for comfort.
Finally, always remember that you are there to relax and have fun. Whatever you decide to wear, just have fun with it.
